In the tribal district of Surajpur chattisgarh state Uma Vindhyavasini Sanskar Mahavidyalaya,was established on 20th Jun 2011 at Latori Surajpur, with an approach to create an outstanding status in the education standard by providing the best possible higher education. The college is recognized by the Directorate Higher Education Chattisgarh Government(College Code 49994) and permanently affiliated to Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya (Formerly Sarguja University College Code 008) Ambikapur Sarguja. Since the college is also recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), under section (2f) the academic schedule and education system is prepared on basis of UGC and University norms. The college is run by Uma Vindyavasni Adiwashi Uttwanbana Banarash Rood Majhapara Latori Surajpur Chhattisgarh. The scenario and the status of education currently observed is a serious problem and with a demand of time there was a neccesity to develop an institution which not only provide standard education to individuals but also inculcates all round development among them , thereby making them practical individuals who excel in competent values and social concern. Special features of the college are a perfect environment for education excellence, modernized techniques of teaching through smart classroom via technique of V-SAT installed so that the students get benefitted by the lectures of eminent scholars of India.
